About CW Speech & Cognition

CW Speech & Cognition is a solo speech-language pathology practice focused on helping adults improve communication, cognition, and swallowing skills after brain injury, stroke, concussion, or other neurological conditions.

I started this practice to provide therapy that is:

• Personalized
• Functional and goal-driven
• Accessible outside of hospital settings
• Focused on real-life communication and daily participation

Because this is a one-clinician practice, every client works directly with me from the initial consultation through the course of therapy.

About Me

Colleen Wineka, M.A, CCC-SLP

I am a licensed speech-language pathologist specializing in adult neurorehabilitation. I support adults experiencing changes in communication, cognition, executive functioning, or swallowing after brain injury, stroke, concussion, or other neurological conditions.

My work focuses on helping clients build practical skills for everyday life, including communication, memory, problem-solving, planning, organization, safety awareness, and independence in daily routines.

I have experience across rehabilitation programs, home health, and telehealth. My approach is functional, collaborative, and evidence-based, with therapy designed around each client’s goals, environment, and real-life needs.
